Come join us for a free night of industrial hemp product give a ways, entertainment, hemp beer, and more. We will be celebrating the life legacy of the greatest hemp activist ever - Jack Herer. We will be showing the US Government's video "Hemp for Victory", which Jack rediscovered, after the government tried to deny the film's existence.
The main presenter will be, Dion Markgraaff, scholar, journalist, editor and historian of the hemp plant. Also speaking - David Bronner a board member of Vote Hemp In 1999 - Escondido based Dr Bronner's Soap started adding hemp in the mix in all their products.
San Diego's Huge Hemp History - Part I and Part II - Many questions remain. Part I - The Scripps Decision for trees over hemp - A 100 acres grown in southern California, leads to a monumental decision in September 1917. Part II - A 3 million dollar San Diego hemp company from 1927 - ?? - What happened and why??
Come sample free hemp products. We will also have hemp beer available.
A joint project of Vote Hemp and the Hemp Industries Association, America's leading hemp advocacy organizations, Hemp History Week is looking for patriotic Americans to anchor and organize events in their hometown as part of a national grassroots, media and public education campaign. We hope to collect at least 50,000 signed post cards urging President Barack Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder to end the status quo and let farmers grow versatile and profitable industrial hemp. Hemp History Week wants you to sign up ASAP to be contacted by our coordinators to begin planning for local Town Hall meetings to present historical data about hemp farming in your area prior to its prohibition.
You will be connected to other likeminded hemp advocates who will plan the events with you and help get the word out its time for change and you will receive coupons for hemp products as a thank you for being part of this historic movement to resume hemp farming in the U.S.
