• Go to YouTube.com and search for Imperial Beach Medical Marijuana to see the council offer to work towards an ordinance, then go “deer in the headlights” waiting for anthing else to happen first.

• On August 19, 2009 the IB city council enacted a 45-day moratorium as a response to a request for a collective to offer safe access within the city limits. Then, promised to work towards an ordinance.
• On October 10, 2009 after not working on an ordinance, the IB city council extended the moratorium another 10 months & 15 days and again promised to work on an ordinance.
• On December 16, 2009 at the first Status Report update to the council, the city attorney could not find a single reason to allow for collectives/cooperatives and advised the city to wait for something to happen to allow them to ban dispensaries.
• On April 21, 2010 at the second Status Report update to the council, the city attorney had been replaced and the new city attorney had no idea she was working towards an ordinance! And the community was told. More people needed to attend the meetings in order to make anything happen!

• On Wednesday July 7th at 6pm, you are needed at the Imperial Beach City Council's third Status Report to be held at 825 Imperial Beach Blvd, in IB to make the council-members aware that you want Safe Access to be available in the City of Imperial Beach now and not another 1 year from now.
